Discovering Descendant History: Uncovering the Carter Legacy From $24.00

Join us on February 8th at 2:00 PM as father, Raymond Carter and son, Ray Carter JR engage in a conversation about diving deep into their family’s history through genealogical research. Descendants of Issac and Joe Carter, formerly enslaved individuals at Belle Meade, the modern Carters have discovered their family lineage traces back to multiple United States presidents.

Couples

Enjoy a day exploring Belle Meade’s lush grounds. Savor a wine tasting the tasting room of Belle Meade Winery and indulge in a Southern-inspired meal at The Belle Meade Meat & Three. For an extra special experience, reserve tickets for the Bourbon Experience or the Wine, Bourbon, and Food Pairing.

Families

Join one of our engaging Family Tours, a 90-minute adventure through history at Belle Meade. This tour includes a guided exploration of the site designed for children and their families, followed by hands-on crafts and activities in our interactive History Makers Space, located in the Dairy. After the kids dive into history, adults can enjoy a complimentary wine tasting included with admission. This experience is designed for youth 12 and under.

Interested in trying more wines at Belle Meade Winery? Visit the tasting room to make purchase by the bottle or the glass and then relax in the shaded, wine garden.

Go beyond the mansion tour and explore Belle Meade’s deeper history with these specialized tours:
