Gain a deeper understanding of Belle Meade’s history through our Journey to Jubilee Tour, an immersive experience that explores the lives, labor, and enduring legacy of the Black men, women, and children who were enslaved at Belle Meade, as well as those who continued working here after emancipation through labor contracts. Guided by one of our knowledgeable historians, this tour offers an honest, research-based examination of more than a century of history while honoring the individuals whose stories shaped this property.

Your Journey to Jubilee Tour Includes:

• A one-hour guided experience led by one of our knowledgeable historians
• An exploration of the lives of the enslaved individuals and laborers who lived and worked at Belle Meade from 1807–1906
• A visit inside the historic Kitchen House inside the mansion and other significant locations on the property
• Thoughtful discussion based on primary and secondary historical research
• A deeper understanding of slavery, emancipation, labor contracts, and the lasting impact of Black history at Belle Meade

Your Ticket Also Includes:

• Admission to the Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery grounds from 9:00 AM–5:00 PM on the day of your visit
• The opportunity to explore our 30+ acres of historic grounds, walking paths, and outdoor exhibits
• Visits with our resident horses, Nelson and Alibi (April–October)

Arrival Information:

• Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time to check in at the Visitor’s Center.
• After checking in, allow approximately 5 minutes to walk to the tour’s starting location.
• Tours begin promptly at the scheduled time.
