Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary at one of Nashville’s most historic landmarks. On August 1st, Belle Meade Historic Site & Winery transforms into a full-day Revolutionary War experience.
Your 250th Day Pass + Self-Guided Mansion tour gets you access to the entire grounds and all anniversary programming for one extraordinary day PLUS a self-guided Mansion Tour of our 1850s Greek Revival Mansion. Watch live-fire musket demonstrations performed at the historic cannon emplacement, explore a period-authentic Revolutionary War command tent and living encampment, and hear from expert speakers in two free Carriage House lecture series. In the afternoon, the antebellum mansion opens for self-guided tours with timed entry — your chance to explore one of Tennessee’s most treasured historic homes at your own pace.
Your August 1st at Belle Meade
9:00 AM — Gates open. Explore the Revolutionary War encampment and command tent at your own pace.
10:00 AM — First Live Fire Musket Demonstration at the Gun Emplacement.
11:00 AM — Carriage House Lecture: Mark Hubbs on Revolutionary War Firearms.
12:00 PM — Self-guided mansion tours open. Timed entry every 30 minutes, first-come first-served.
1:00 PM — Second Live Fire Musket Demonstration at the Gun Emplacement.
1:30 PM — Carriage House Lecture: Taegen Gann on Medicine of Early America & The Women Who Shaped It.
3:00 PM — Final Live Fire Musket Demonstration at the Gun Emplacement.
All Day — Historic Outbuildings, Gift Shop, Bonnies Bourbon Bar, and Winery open throughout.
5:00 PM — Site closes.
Regular guided mansion, Journey to Jubilee, and Battle at Belle Meade tours are available for purchase through midday. Self-guided mansion tours are available for purchase from midday onwards. Existing guided tour and winery experience ticket holders receive full access to the 250th programming at no additional charge.
