Calling all Homeschool families! Our Homeschool Days programming is back for 2025! In addition to our Family Tours offered daily, Homeschool Day is a go-at-your-own-pace environment for your family to explore activities and crafts, as well as our grounds, at your own leisure! Homeschool Days are a come-and-go experience with activities programmed from 10:00AM-12:30PM.
Your ticket includes admission to our grounds for the remainder of the day, with access to our two restaurants, Coop n’ Scoop ice cream and coffee shop, mini-games court, and multiple self-guided historic structures. Homeschool Day does not include admission to the Mansion.
May 15th- Art of Nature
Explore the natural beauty of Belle Meade! Create your own mini-terrarium, leaf prints, and more art using natural materials. Walk alongside the historic Richland Creek that cuts through Belle Meade on a nature scavenger hunt, and identify trees through our status as a certified arboretum.
October 3rd- Before Belle Meade
Discover what early Tennessee (Tanasi) was like for its indigenous inhabitants throughout history. Design your own ceremonial garb and create your own turtle rattlers as you learn about Cherokee history. Coinciding with National Archeology Month, see indigenous projectile points discovered in our Richland Creek and try your hand at your own dig. Play traditional games like the “bean game” and create your own corn husk dolls.
