Explore Our Path to History
Follow our Path to History through beautiful wooded land, historic stone walls and outbuildings, wandering creeks, and some of the best photographic opportunities on-site! With more than 5,400 acres at its peak, the Belle Meade estate had many buildings with a variety of functions. Today, with the remaining 30 acres, we still have architectural treasures for you to discover. Our outdoor Game Court features a variety of games from croquet, horseshoes, bocce ball, corn hole, and even a miniature putting green!
Did you know that Belle Meade is designated a Level Two Arboretum by the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council? Our Director of Interpretation identified all of our trees (several are over 100 years old!) and created the Tree Walk experience for visitors to learn more about our landscape. During your visit, explore our walking path using the mobile app which can be accessed by scanning a QR code with your phone. Inside the app, the numbers on the tree tags can be entered into the navigation keypad or you can click on the tree name for information.
