Junior Docents

What Is the Junior Docent Program?

Junior Docents are trained museum volunteers between the ages of 10 and 15. Junior Docents assist with tours and help visitors to the museum better understand and appreciate the museum collections and history. Junior Docents also work special events, attend special training and help the Museum staff with other daily activities.

How Do I Join the Junior Docent Program?

Interested candidates must fill out the Junior Docent Application and have your parent/guardian complete the Junior Docent Parent/Guardian section. The Junior Docent Coordinator will contact you to schedule an on-site interview to get to know you better. Once selected to join the Junior Docent program, you will be asked to be on site at least once per month and remain in the program for the entirety of the academic year.

This year, 20 students will be selected for the Junior Docent Program. Applications will be accepted through Sunday, July 25th. Selection is based upon application and interview.
